he Archbishop's Palace at Southwell Minster is a wonderful day out for a club, coach tour, organisation or group of friends. The Palace is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Please check in advance for special Events
or private functions before you travel. Please ring in advance .

. Tower tours and organ recitals often take place on Bank Holidays. Guided tours can be arranged for groups. Please contact the Minster Office for details of special events and concerts.
Guided Tours led by trained Guides are available at any period of the day subject to services and other events taking place in the Archbishop's Palace and Minster. Special Interest tours can be arranged and groups of any size can be accommodated. Tours may include a visit to the adjoining Minster. Times specified are approximate. Suggested options could include:
Half Day Tour
Introductory Video ½ hour; Minster inside tour 1¼ hours. Cost per person: £5.00.
The above including State Chamber of the Archbishop's Palace and Gardens ¾ hour. Cost per person: £7.50.
Refreshments or lunch would be at an additional cost arranged by the tour organiser with the Refectory.

Full Day Tour
Introductory Video ½ hour; Minster inside Tour 1¼ hours; Minster External Tour 1 hour; State Chamber and Gardens ¾ hour. Refreshments as above. Cost per person: £10.00.

The Archbishop's Palace is fully accessible. The pathway has been widened for wheelchair access, and a new lift installed in 2014. With the exception of the Chapter House and Pilgrims’ Chapel, the Minster and the Archbishop’s Palace are wheelchair friendly.
January 19th 2017 - while servicing of the lift is carried out, please call the Minster first if you require to use the lift up to the State Chamber. We apologise for this temporary inconvenience.
